I offer my clients over 25 years of experience in investments and insurance. Prior to forming Montana Wealth Management, I worked with Opportunity Bank, Sterling Savings Bank, First Interstate Wealth Management (part of First Interstate Bank) and D.A. Davidson. I also served as a Property and Casualty Insurance Claims Supervisor for Farmers Insurance.
During my career, I gained a solid understanding of the financial needs of small businesses and professional practices, having been a business owner and real estate developer myself. A graduate of Eastern Montana College, I maintain FINRA series 7, 63, 65, 24 securities registrations through LPL Financial, as well as life and health insurance licenses.
My goal is to provide quality service that meets or exceeds your expectations. I will help you design and track your ﬁnancial goals, explaining challenges and rewards along the way. I will always act in your best interest and with the greatest of integrity.
I started my career in ﬁnancial services July of 2007. Before working with Montana Wealth Management, I worked with Opportunity Bank of Montana, Rocky Mountain Credit Union, and UBS Wealth Management. I also worked in the life, property, and auto insurance industry with Country Financial and Farmers insurance.
During my career, I have owned my own successful business and been an employee of others. Both helping to mold me to who I am today. This has given me a solid understanding of the ﬁnancial needs of individuals and small businesses alike. I maintain a FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations through LPL Financial and has well as life and health insurance licenses.
Sam joins Montana Wealth Management after successfully running an independent practice with LPL Financial for the last four years. Sam joined LPL Financial as an advisor in 2015 after graduating from Montana State University Bozeman with a degree in Business Finance.
Sam is a Montana native from the North-Central part of the state and recently moved to Missoula with his wife Marian and two dogs – Bernard (Yorkie) and Murphy (French Bulldog).
In his spare time, Sam enjoys traveling, cooking, exploring new breweries and taking advantage of all the outdoor opportunities our state has to offer.
Andrea Mathison is a native Montanan and currently resides in Billings. She grew up on a farm/ranch outside of Miles City and participated in all things country. Her father and her spent many summers participating in local rodeos and belonged to a rodeo club that met every Sunday afternoon. She belonged to 4-H her whole childhood and every year took their prized steer and sheep to the fair; the money made from those sales paid for most of her college.
Andrea graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in Business Administration in 1991. She then obtained her securities license in 1997 and worked for Merrill Lynch in Chicago then worked independently in Denver for several years. Missing her family and friends she moved back to Montana in 2000 after accepting a position at First Interstate Bank in Billings. She managed the investment department their until 2008. During that time, she had a son and daughter and decided it best to go on her own again in order to spend as much time with her kids as possible.

Ellen Ross has worked with Kerry Hatcher for 19 years. Ellen cares about her clients – sometimes to a fault. She has unsurpassed honesty, integrity, and work ethic. She has her life and health insurance license, FINRA Series 66, and Series 7 registrations held through LPL Financial.
Ellen is also a single mother who has independently raised two children, one of whom is special needs. She is very active in the Montana Bozeman chapter of the Special Olympics, Bozeman Flames, and coaches track and field, soccer, and basketball. She is passionate about everything she engages in, even a competitive game of pinochle.
